Project Information
Recognised as the Control4 Smart Home of the Year (Asia Pacific 2024) and Best Lighting Project, AMAR is a fully integrated smart home where technology remains virtually invisible and the architecture stays uninterrupted. Delivered in collaboration with Focal Glow, the brief centered on creating a five-star hotel-like living experience — entertaining, seamless indoor–outdoor living and intelligent yet discreet security, all achieved through minimal switches and control points.
Talltech was engaged from the project's inception, working alongside the homeowner, builder and designer to integrate technology into the architecture itself rather than retrofit it afterward. Every element, from whole-home audio and a dedicated cinema room to AI-enabled security and fully coordinated lighting and climate, was considered as part of one unified system. The result: a home so seamlessly automated that the homeowner has rarely touched a light switch since moving in.
AMAR was approached as a single, unified system rather than a collection of individual rooms — technology positioned as discreet, yet its impact on the living experience considerable.
Whole-home audio extends through every zone of the property, including the wine cellar, cigar room, cinema, bathrooms, powder room, sauna and outdoor entertaining areas.
The cedar-lined cigar room adds a rich, tactile counterpoint to the home's more minimal, technology-led spaces.
Lighting, climate and ambience adjust automatically based on time of day and use, with near-invisible ducted air conditioning and speakers concealed within air-conditioning grilles to preserve a clean ceiling surface throughout.
The gym and sauna further reinforce the home’s five-star hotel-inspired experience.
Working in collaboration with Focal Glow, private spaces such as bedrooms, bathrooms and powder rooms are programmed to respond to the time of day, supporting the body’s natural circadian rhythm.

Talltech integrated advanced AI-enabled cameras identify unknown individuals and trigger automated responses, including floodlight activation, to enhance both security and presence.
The property's secluded location called for an elevated approach to security, achieved without compromising the experience of the home.
